This quick tip is no big secret. But it can be a helpful one if you don’t already know it or if this reminds you to do it.

As you all know, planer boards can be one of your more expensive pieces of tackle you use fishing for salmon. Even the lower cost planer boards new are going to run $30.00 bucks. Anyway, from time to time, we all have lost one.

One thing you can do to help your chance of recovering your board is to put your name, address and or phone number on your planer board. I always keep a black sharpie on my boat for this and other uses.
